Summary
This study followed 427 children under 14 in China who had surgery to repair a leaky mitral heart valve. The goal was to see how safe and effective the surgery was over time by tracking if children needed more surgery, had the leak return, or passed away. The results aim to help doctors make better decisions for this rare but serious childhood heart condition.
