NCT ID NCT05491018

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study will observe over 13,000 children admitted to 14 French pediatric intensive care units (ICUs). Researchers want to test two scoring systems (PIM3 and PRISM IV) that predict how sick a child is and their chance of survival. They will also look at the cost of care. The goal is to create a combined score that measures both clinical and economic performance, helping ICUs improve quality without increasing costs. No new treatments are being tested.
