New hope for kids with tough cancers: experimental drug cocktails tested

NCT ID NCT04238819

Summary

This study tested whether adding a drug called abemaciclib to standard chemotherapy is safe and effective for children and young adults whose solid tumors returned or didn't respond to other treatments. It involved 47 participants with various cancers, including neuroblastoma, and tested different drug combinations to find the best doses. The main goal was to see if these combinations could help control the cancer.
