Doctors seek to make Kids' surgery safer by studying airway device problems

NCT ID NCT06073977

Summary

This study aimed to understand how often doctors have trouble placing a common breathing device in children's airways during surgery and to identify what factors make placement difficult. It observed 3,750 children aged 1 to 12 who were having planned surgery. The goal was to gather better information to help anesthesiologists predict and avoid problems, making procedures safer for kids.
