First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a Pedi-Cap, a device that changes color to show carbon dioxide levels, can shorten the time newborns need breathing support right after birth. About 632 infants born at 30 weeks or later who require face mask ventilation will be included. Researchers will compare outcomes when the device is used versus not used, and also survey the medical team on their experience.
