Nutty solution for blood sugar? pecan snack swap trial launches
NCT ID NCT07235358
Summary
This study aims to see if replacing typical high-fat, high-sugar snacks with a daily serving of pecans can improve blood sugar control and heart health in people with prediabetes. About 150 adults will be randomly assigned to either eat 1.5 ounces of pecans daily for 16 weeks or continue their usual diet. Researchers will measure changes in blood sugar, cholesterol, and other health markers at the beginning and end of the study.
