First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests two forms of peanut oral immunotherapy (OIT) in 57 people aged 4 to 30 with peanut allergy. One group gets standard peanuts, the other gets autoclaved peanuts (heated under high pressure to change their proteins). The goal is to see which approach is safer and better tolerated, and whether participants can eat 8 peanuts without a reaction after 12 months of treatment.
