New hope for kids with deadly brain and nerve cancers: personalized cell therapy tested
NCT ID NCT04837547
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a personalized treatment for children with recurrent neuroblastoma or a newly diagnosed brainstem tumor called DIPG. The approach combines targeted drugs with the child's own immune cells and stem cells, all customized to their tumor. The main goal is to check safety and find the right dose, not yet to prove it works.
