Heart drug camzyos may do more than relieve blockage – new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07120776
First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether the medication Camzyos (mavacamten) improves blood supply to the heart muscle in people with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). About 75 adults already prescribed Camzyos will get a special PET scan before starting the drug and again after 12 months. The goal is to see if Camzyos reduces chest pain and shortness of breath by easing a lack of oxygen in the heart.
