First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether a plant-based pea protein drink can reduce the need for feeding tubes in people with head and neck cancer undergoing chemoradiation. Feeding tubes can cause long-term swallowing problems. The drink is designed to be easy to digest and free of common allergens. The study enrolled 57 adults to see if this nutritional support helps them maintain weight and avoid tube placement.
