Natural supplement tested as potential new weapon against chronic back pain
NCT ID NCT06694337
Summary
This study tested whether a dietary supplement called Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) could help adults with long-term, nerve-related low back pain. 120 participants were randomly assigned to receive one of two different doses of the PEA supplement or a placebo pill for several weeks. Researchers measured changes in pain levels, quality of life, and daily function to see if the supplement worked better than the placebo.
