First human test for new Parkinson's hope
NCT ID NCT05950906
Summary
This early-stage study aimed to check if a new drug called PDM608 is safe for people and to see how the body handles it. The trial involved 64 healthy adults who received either the drug or a placebo as a single shot or weekly shots for a month. The main goal was to monitor for any side effects and measure drug levels in the blood, not to treat Parkinson's disease itself.
