NCT ID NCT01413074
First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if people with end-stage kidney disease live longer with peritoneal dialysis (done at home) or hemodialysis (done at a clinic). Over 400 adults in China were randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The study was stopped early, so results are limited, but it provides information on survival, complications, and quality of life between the two dialysis methods.
