New combo therapy aims to control returning throat cancer

Summary

This study tests whether adding radiation therapy after immunotherapy and chemotherapy can help people with nasopharyngeal cancer that has come back. About 94 adults whose cancer returned at least a year after initial treatment will receive a PD-1 inhibitor plus chemotherapy, then either immediate or selective re-irradiation. The goal is to see if the timing of radiation improves overall survival and disease control.
