First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a drug called evolocumab (a PCSK9 inhibitor) to standard statin treatment helps people recover better after a stroke caused by hardening of the large arteries. About 1000 adults aged 18-80 who recently had a stroke will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better function at 90 days and fewer future heart or brain events.
