First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a fast PCR test on stool samples can help doctors make better treatment decisions for children with stomach symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, or belly pain. About 526 children visiting the emergency room will be randomly assigned to get either immediate test results or delayed results. The goal is to see if quick results lead to more targeted antibiotic use and better follow-up care.
