Scientists probe hidden link between diabetes and hormonal disorder

NCT ID NCT07490964

Summary

This study aims to understand why women with type 1 diabetes are much more likely to develop polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal disorder. Researchers will compare 60 participants across five groups, including women with both conditions, to look for differences in genes, body composition, and hormone production. The goal is to uncover the biological reasons behind this link, which could inform future care.
