Study tests if taking the pill Non-Stop helps PCOS more

NCT ID NCT03819140

Summary

This study looked at whether taking birth control pills continuously for six months works better than the standard three-weeks-on, one-week-off schedule for managing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). It involved 51 women with PCOS, aged 16-35, who were not already on the pill. Researchers compared the two schedules to see which one was more effective at lowering testosterone levels and improving symptoms like unwanted hair growth and acne over six months.
