Summary
This study tested whether the drug metformin helps improve fertility-related hormones and reduce inflammation in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). 110 women with PCOS took metformin for 8 weeks and provided blood samples and symptom reports at the start and end. The goal was to see if metformin offers benefits beyond simple lifestyle changes for managing PCOS symptoms.
