Lower dose pill may help PCOS with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT07318337
Summary
This study compared two doses of a common birth control pill to see which works better for hormone balance in women with PCOS. Sixty women with PCOS took either a 20-microgram or 30-microgram dose for three months. Researchers measured hormone levels and insulin resistance to see if the lower dose could provide similar benefits with potentially fewer side effects.
