First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether giving early-stage cancer patients a monthly cash card (no restrictions on spending) can reduce financial hardship and improve their health outcomes. Twenty newly diagnosed patients with financial concerns will receive the cards for a set period. Researchers will measure if this approach is feasible and if it helps patients avoid debt, missed rent, or treatment delays.
