First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether giving early-stage cancer patients a monthly cash card (no restrictions on spending) can reduce financial hardship and improve their health. Twenty newly diagnosed patients with money worries will receive the cards for a set time. Researchers will check if this approach is practical and helps with debt, treatment adherence, and quality of life.
