Could a 'Pay-It-Forward' model help stop the spread of STDs?

NCT ID NCT05723263

Summary

This study tested different ways to encourage more men in China to get tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Researchers compared a standard 'pay-it-forward' model (where a person's test is paid for by a previous donor, and they can choose to donate for the next person), a more community-focused version of that model, and a standard pay-for-yourself approach. The goal was to see which method led more people to get tested, which is a key step in preventing the spread of these infections.
