First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study explores whether virtual reality exercise can help older adults (55+) stay physically active and maintain muscle function during a hospital stay. Researchers will enroll 140 participants to test if this approach is acceptable and effective. The goal is to prevent the common decline in strength and mobility that happens when older adults are confined to bed.
