Summary
This study aims to understand how well patients and their surgeons agree on what to expect from lumbar spine surgery. Researchers surveyed 437 patients scheduled for back surgery and their surgeons before the procedures to compare their expectations about recovery and outcomes. The goal is to see if better alignment between patient and surgeon expectations leads to better surgical results and satisfaction.
