Can patient feedback fix mental health wards? tiny study tests new team workshops
NCT ID NCT05603325
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a series of six facilitated workshops could help mental health inpatient teams better listen to and act on patient feedback. Nine staff members from one hospital took part. The goal was to see if the approach was feasible and acceptable, not yet to measure improvements in care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Facilitated team workshops (behavioural intervention)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show a practical way for mental health teams to better listen to patients and improve care experiences.
What could go wrong
This is a very small feasibility study with only 9 participants, so results may not apply to other hospitals. It tests whether the approach works, not whether it improves patient outcomes.
