New diabetes drug candidate PATAS enters first human safety tests

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new drug called PATAS in healthy volunteers to see if it is safe and how the body processes it. The goal is to gather initial safety data before testing it in people with Type 2 diabetes. About 56 healthy adults aged 18 to 55 will receive either a single dose of PATAS or a placebo.
