First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether repeated sessions of passive heating (like sitting in a warm room or bath) three times a week for eight weeks could reduce inflammation and improve heart and blood vessel health in people with spinal cord injury. Ten adults with stable spinal cord injury for over a year participated. The goal was to find a safe, accessible way to lower heart disease and diabetes risk when exercise is difficult.
