New hope for patients with Hard-to-Treat pituitary tumors

Summary
This study tests a drug called pasireotide for people with prolactinomas (pituitary tumors that produce too much prolactin) who cannot take or do not respond to standard dopamine agonist therapy. About 10 adults will receive pasireotide to see if it can safely lower prolactin levels to normal and shrink the tumor. The goal is to offer an alternative treatment option for those with limited choices.
