Could your partner be the key to beating PTSD? new therapy trial aims to find out

NCT ID NCT06990191

Summary

This study is testing whether involving a romantic partner in PTSD therapy helps veterans recover better than going through therapy alone. It will compare a new 'Partner-Assisted Prolonged Exposure' therapy against the standard individual therapy. The goal is to see if having a partner's support leads to greater improvements in daily functioning, relationships, and PTSD symptoms for post-9/11 veterans.
