First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to treat movement problems in people with advanced Parkinson's disease. It used focused ultrasound to create a small lesion in a brain area that controls movement. The main goal was to see if the procedure is safe, with only 7 participants enrolled. The study did not aim to cure Parkinson's, but to help control symptoms that medication could not manage.
