Can video calls match In-Person care for Parkinson's swallowing therapy?

NCT ID NCT05700825

Summary

This study tests whether swallowing and cough training for people with Parkinson's disease works as well when delivered through video calls (telehealth) as it does in person. Researchers will enroll 120 participants to compare both methods over a year, including an intensive 4-week program followed by maintenance sessions. The goal is to make this important therapy more accessible to people who have trouble traveling to clinics.
