Scientists probe Brain's hidden battle against Parkinson's swallowing danger
NCT ID NCT07299448
Summary
This study aims to understand why swallowing difficulties, a common and dangerous problem in Parkinson's disease, occur. Researchers will examine 100 Parkinson's patients using swallowing tests, brain scans, and blood tests to find biological markers and see how the brain might try to compensate. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day lead to better treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies.
