Scientists test 'Living Drug' made from Patient's own skin to fight Parkinson's

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether a personalized stem cell transplant is safe for people with Parkinson's disease. Doctors will take skin cells from each participant, reprogram them into brain cells, and transplant them into the brain. The study will follow 8 participants for 2 years to monitor safety and see if the treatment shows any signs of helping with Parkinson's symptoms.
