Listening to the brain: how surgery changes a Parkinson's Patient's voice

Summary
This study aims to understand how deep brain stimulation surgery affects speech in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will record the voices of 60 patients before surgery and at 6 and 12 months after. By analyzing changes in voice quality, rhythm, and word choice, they hope to learn how the treatment impacts both motor control and thinking.
