Scientists probe hidden link between balance and hand skills in Parkinson's
NCT ID NCT07182487
Summary
This study aimed to understand the connection between trunk stability (balance) and hand dexterity in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers measured 80 participants' postural sway using a motion sensor and tested their hand skills with a timed pegboard task. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future assessments and therapy planning by seeing how core stability relates to fine motor control.
