Quick-Puff treatment tested for Parkinson's symptom flares

NCT ID NCT05979415

Summary

This study tested an inhaled form of the drug apomorphine (called AZ-009) to see if it could quickly relieve the return of Parkinson's symptoms, known as 'OFF' episodes, when regular oral medications wear off. It involved about 50 adults with established Parkinson's who experience these daily motor fluctuations. The goal was to see if the inhaled treatment was safe and effective for providing rapid relief during these OFF periods.
