New nasal spray aims to rescue Parkinson's patients from frozen states

NCT ID NCT07156773

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental nasal spray called XJN010 can help people with Parkinson's disease quickly recover from 'off' episodes—periods when their medication wears off and movement becomes difficult. Researchers will compare the spray to a placebo in 84 patients over two weeks to see if it safely improves movement scores and reduces 'off' time. The goal is to provide a faster-acting option to manage these disruptive symptom fluctuations.
