Zapping the ear to steady the step: new Parkinson's therapy trial

NCT ID NCT07440563

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of gentle electrical stimulation to the ear (auricular vagus nerve stimulation) and specialized physical therapy can improve balance, walking, and other symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease. Twenty participants will receive either the real stimulation or a sham version alongside a three-week physical therapy program. Researchers will measure changes in movement, stability, and quality of life.
