Groundbreaking study aims to fill critical gap in Parkinson's research
NCT ID NCT06719583
Summary
This research study aims to understand how Parkinson's disease affects Black and African American communities, who have been underrepresented in past research. It will enroll 2,000 people across the U.S., including those with Parkinson's and healthy volunteers over 50. Participants provide a blood or saliva sample and complete simple tests to help researchers identify genetic factors linked to the disease, which could lead to better future treatments and tests.
