MIT tests sensory stimulation to calm Parkinson's tremors

NCT ID NCT05268887

Summary

This study is testing whether gentle stimulation using light, sound, and touch can help improve movement problems in people with mild Parkinson's disease. Researchers from MIT will have 40 participants try a non-invasive device to see if it safely changes brain waves and eases symptoms like tremor and slowness. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and well-tolerated as a potential new way to manage symptoms.
