Brain chemical targeted to unfreeze Parkinson's walk

NCT ID NCT07316296

Summary

This study is testing if the drug atomoxetine can help reduce 'freezing of gait'—a sudden, temporary inability to move the feet—in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare atomoxetine to a placebo (inactive pill) in 60 participants to see if it decreases how often or how severely freezing happens. Participants will take the study drug, complete walking assessments, and have brain scans to understand how the treatment works.
