First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a continuous intestinal pump (Lecigon) that delivers Parkinson's medication directly to the gut. The goal is to see if this method reduces unwanted mood and behavior problems caused by standard oral drugs. About 150 adults with Parkinson's who qualify for this pump will be randomly assigned to receive it or continue their usual care, and their symptoms will be compared after 6 months.
