Spinal injection tested as new route for Parkinson's treatment

NCT ID NCT03976349

Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of a new Parkinson's drug called BIIB094, which was given as an injection into the spinal fluid. Researchers enrolled 62 adults with Parkinson's disease to check for side effects and measure how the drug moves through the body. The main goal was to determine safe dosage levels before testing whether the drug actually helps control Parkinson's symptoms.
