Major Parkinson's trial aims to hit brakes on disease progression
NCT ID NCT07207057
Summary
This large UK trial is testing whether two existing drugs, telmisartan and terazosin, can slow down the progression of Parkinson's disease. It will involve 1,200 people with Parkinson's who are already on standard medication. The trial uses an efficient design to test multiple treatments at once, comparing them to a placebo over up to three years, with most check-ins done remotely from home.
