First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new treatment called DSP-1083, which is implanted directly into the brain using a precise surgical method. The goal is to see if it is safe and if it can improve symptoms for people with Parkinson's disease. About 25 adults aged 40 to 72 with Parkinson's for at least 4 years will take part. The study compares the real implant to a sham procedure to measure effects.
