Can a walk in the park ease your mind? study tests Nature's stress relief for wheelchair users

NCT ID NCT05975476

Summary

This study aims to see if spending time in an urban park can help reduce stress and improve emotional well-being for adults who use wheelchairs or have other mobility impairments. Researchers will compare two different 30-minute park activities over 10 weeks: gentle physical activity like wheeling on a trail, and a more relaxed sensory activity like enjoying the sights and sounds. The goal is to find out which type of park visit might offer better mental health benefits for this often-overlooked group.
