Home visits for At-Risk moms may boost child development and maternal health

NCT ID NCT07477899

First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a home-visiting program for mothers with risk factors (like past trauma or pregnancy complications) can improve children's emotional and behavioral development and mothers' mental well-being. About 352 mothers and their children will take part, with some receiving the program and others not. Researchers will also check biological markers like stress-related genes to understand how risks are passed from mother to child.
