New therapy aims to help recovering moms and their kids thrive
NCT ID NCT07168642
Summary
This study is testing a special parenting therapy called Mothering from the Inside Out (MIO) for mothers who are in treatment for substance use. The goal is to see if adding this therapy to their usual treatment helps improve their parenting skills, reduces stress, and supports their recovery. Researchers will work with 200 mothers and their counselors in real-world community clinics to see how well the program works outside of a strict research setting.
