First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a parent coaching program for parents of teens (ages 12-18) who are in the hospital for suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts, or self-harm. Some parents get coaching on safety planning and parenting skills, while others get the usual hospital support. The goal is to see if this extra help reduces the teen's suicide risk and improves family coping.
